OUR SERVICES

Matrix Communications offers nation-wide voice, data and fibre optic cabling services. Our customer base ranges from the O2 arena and UK wide blue chip companies to domestic home workers who require a reliable and professional cabling partner to deliver a first class service.

Data Cabling

OUR STRUCTURED CABLING DIVISION FOCUSES ON IMPLEMENTING CODE-COMPLIANT, STANDARDS-BASED AND HIGH-PERFORMING INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS.

Cat 5E, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Cat 7.

Cat 5E

This ‘enhanced’ version of Cat 5e supports 10 gigabit speeds and with bandwidth up to 200MHz and less interference than its predecessor. As the lowest category cable for gigabit Ethernet it’s a cost-effective solution for applications such as media streaming that need to transmit large datasets.

Cat 6

With a higher signal-to-noise ratio than Cat 5e and bandwidth up to 250MHz Cat 6 is called for where there are multiple and simultaneous network demands, including large data transfers and video conferencing.

Cat 6A

With double the bandwidth of Cat 6 (500MHz) and far less interference, Cat 6a comes into its own where a greater distance needs to be covered – handling up to 100 metres compared with a maximum of 55 metres for Cat 6.

Cat 7

Double shielded for maximum interference protection, Cat 7 is considerably more costly but with 600MHz bandwidth it is now the accepted standard for ultra fast Ethernet and an effective way to future-proof your network.

WORKING TOGETHER

We work with you to come up with the very best solutions for your challenges!

Blown Fibre

A great way to future-proof for your increasing bandwidth needs, this is an ingenious technique by which we install the outer tube for the fibre before you actually need the fibre. Once in place, you have the infrastructure for easy installation of the most appropriate fibre cores by our fully trained and equipped engineers.

OTDR Testing

This is the simple but accurate way to gauge total Db loss along a length of fibre without the need for printed graphs and technical data as provided by an OTDR.

Multimode Fibres  OM2, OM3, OM4

With the imminent advent of the 10G network the traditional Multimode Fibre (62.5µm OM1) no longer carries adequate bandwidth. UK Datacabling, therefore, prefers to work with the new generation 50µm OM3/OM4/OM5 Multimode fibre, which future-proofs your bandwidth demands.

Fusion splicing termination

This involves supplying ‘pre-terminated pigtails’ –fibre cords ready to be ‘fusion spliced’ into the installed cable.

Telecommunication Cabling

‘Traditional’ analogue telephone cabling is still widely used for business networks – and our expert team understands the importance of maintaining and augmenting existing systems alongside any new ones, whether it’s a comprehensive telephone network installation or adding a single extension.

Fault finding & Repairs

We’re keenly aware that every minute your voice system is down damages your customer service and costs you money. When you need it fixed and fast, there’s no one better qualified to get you up and running without delay than the Matrix Communications Team.
